McLane 101-4.75GT-7 Lawn Edger Review

For the professional landscape gardener, or those who own a large sized lawn, the McLane 101-4.75GT-7 9-Inch Gas Powered Lawn Edger is a well built and capable lawn edger. There are various reasons why someone who wants a well trimmed lawn would opt for this type of edger. Some are the common reasons of beauty and aesthetics, while others wish to take the chore out of edging and trimming a large sized lawn.

Ease of Assembly

This is the best side of the product, unlike other products which require somebody with knowledge of the product to assemble it for you, the McLane yard trimmer comes with clear instruction which makes assembling easier for anyone.

Powerful and Easy Cutting

People with big yards have always been faced with the problem of power supply problems during trimming, due to their large portion of land. Thankfully, this is one product that has sufficient power thanks to its powerful gas powered motor. This is due to the inclusion of a powerful 3.5 horsepower engine, which provides 4.75 gross torque, and its 9 inch edging blade makes quick work of the biggest lawns.

The McLane 101-4.75GT-7 9-Inch Gas Powered Lawn Edger also comes with a heavy duty chassis and a sturdy handle, which comes with a neat powder coated baked on polyester paint job that makes it resistant to chipping. This is also one edger that is extremely versatile thanks to the blades that can be adjusted to a number of different angles.

This edger, as with most of McLane’s gardening equipment, comes with smooth and rubberized tires, which can be replaced when they become worn. What is more, all edgers and trimmers made by McLane are designed and built to easily meet all of the required safety standards and regulations set out by the government. In addition to which, all McLane machines are designed and manufactured in the United States.

The McLane 101-4.75GT-7 9-Inch Gas Powered Lawn Edger is a powerful, yet surprisingly quiet (for a gas powered edger) and can make quick work of even the biggest lawn. Its powerful gas engine provides enough usage and power when you need it most, and prevents the problem of power loss.

The only major downside is the fact that the edger is not CARB compliant, and is therefore not available to be sold in the state of California.
